St Philip’s achieves School Games Gold Mark Award

Congratulations to St Philip’s School for achieving the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

The School’s sporting achievements this year include:

• Representing Kingston Borough and finishing 2nd in the London Youth Games Girls Para Football Tournament
• Representing Kingston Borough at the London Youth Games in the Boys Para Football Tournament
• Entering Boys and Girls teams from KS3 and 4 into the Fulham FC Foundations Inclusive Schools League
• Completing the TCS in schools Mini Marathon

With a high percentage of young people competing in local inter-school competitions and sports events this year, the school are extremely proud of all their pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport.

As part of their application, the school had to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and were delighted that everyone’s hard work has been recognised.
