Rugby Festival at The Stoop
Students from Carew Academy, Nightingale Academy and St Philip’s School took part in a mixed ability rugby day at The Stoop pitch, home of the Harlequins rugby team. The event was designed to increase participation and make the game more inclusive and accessible. Students enjoyed a series of fun warm up sessions before being put through their paces in a series of matches in the afternoon. OHC&AT’S Digital School, long term supporters of the Harlequins Foundation also supported the event setting up a Digital Hub in their Media Centre. Students popped in to try out the latest technology including Virtual Reality and Lego Education. Our Digital School is open every Friday at The Stoop for local schools and community groups to book sessions. It was an exhilarating day for all involved and students did the Trust proud with their excellent sportsmanship and a series of wins between them.
