OHC&AT hosted our third annual Safeguarding Conference this week. The event saw staff from across the Trust join up for a day of training and sharing expertise. This year the conference focused on Suicide Prevention. Papyrus, a UK charity working to prevent young suicide, were in attendance and ran a Suicide Prevention Overview Tutorial. Dr Emma Kell, was also in attendance sharing her knowledge on wellbeing and self care for those working in the education sector.
The conference was closed by Kelly Phillips, Principal of Orchard Hill College, who thanked everyone for attending and highlighted the relevance and importance of all that had been discussed through the day. The day was a brilliant success and we look forward to hosting again next year.
