We are delighted to announce that Nightingale Community Academy has successfully completed a government-funded programme, in collaboration with South Thames College, aimed at enhancing numeracy skills. This initiative saw enthusiastic participation from both parents, staff and students, who have now gained valuable skills to help them navigate daily life with greater confidence and competence in mathematics.

Notably, six of their dedicated teaching assistants have successfully completed the programme. This achievement not only upskills them but also enhances their ability to support the students at Nightingale Community Academy through targeted maths and numeracy interventions. Their dedication to professional development exemplifies the school’s commitment to providing the highest quality education and support for students.

The school are rightly proud of everyone involved in this programme and look forward to seeing the positive impact these enhanced numeracy skills will have on the school community. They are hopeful that funding for this valuable initiative will continue into the next year, allowing even more members of their community to benefit from these essential skills. Together, the school will continue to strive for excellence in education and support for all.
