Meet Ray Leclercq, our new OHCAT Trust Board Chair
We are pleased to announce that Ray Leclercq has been appointed as the new OHCAT Trust Board Chair. Ray has been a Trustee on Orchard Hill College Academy Trust Board for over a year, serving on OHC&AT finance and resources committee and the governance committee. He takes over from Jay Mercer who recently retired after 11 years as the chair of the Trust.
Ray said on his appointment, “It is a privilege to be taking over the role of Chair and helping to lead the organisation through its next phase of development. OHCAT has a truly inspiring higher purpose of helping every student we serve achieve their full potential. It is incredibly inspiring and humbling to witness the fantastic work and commitment of those in OHCAT who help make this a reality. I look forward to working with you all and supporting delivering our mission of ‘working together to transform lives’.”
Ray believes in the importance of providing opportunities for all individuals to fulfil their potential, especially those who may be marginalised by society. He is passionate about championing diversity and inclusion, investing in education, and supporting young people as the future workforce.
Ray is an experienced senior executive with a successful track record in financial, operational, and transformational roles. With over 20 years of experience in executive leadership positions in large and medium-sized public and private companies, Ray has a strong commercial background and extensive international experience. He has a proven track record of building world-class teams, implementing best practice processes, and scaling or transforming businesses.
We are delighted that Ray has been elected as Chair of the board and look forward to working with him.
