Matrix Standard

Orchard Hill College are thrilled to have been re-accredited with the Matrix Standard. This is the international quality standard for ensuring the quality of delivery of information, advice and guidance (IAG).

We were so proud of all the students and staff who were interviewed as part of the assessment and shared their views and opinions.

Some of the highlights recorded by the Matrix Standard Assessor included:

Since the last assessment the roll out of staff training on Trauma Informed Positive Behaviour Support has transformed the manner in which IAG is communicated and recorded. Positive behaviour plans and motivational language is the OHC style and evident across Personal Support Plans, ILPS, and end of year EHCP reviews.

Feedback from the full range of staff highlighted that they feel valued and that the refreshed appraisal system, reflective supervision and safeguarding post incident support all contribute to a culture of staff health and well-being. These employee developments are driven by a vision to nurture talent, and the voice of the workforce throughout the assessment, is that the College is increasingly seen as a leadingedge disability employer.
