Under supervision of the teacher you will actively develop and nurture the play skills of young children, and to pro-actively identify and plan the next steps for development.
You will need experience and a willingness to manage children with ASD (both verbal and lower functioning) and SLCN. You should also be experienced in developing and nurturing the play skills of young children, as well as identifying the next steps. A genuine commitment to the education and development of young people with SEN is paramount.
The Link caters for pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties, many of whom are on the autistic spectrum. Abilities are wide ranging, varying from pupils who meet cognitive milestones to pupils with complex needs. A belief in person centred teaching is a priority.
