The successful candidates will be self-motivated, with a genuine desire and commitment to help children and young people to fulfil their potential. In addition to the role of Special Support Assistant you will also be responsible for supporting aspects of teaching and learning in school with appropriate intervention work.

Ideally for Special Support Assistant roles you should have experience working with children who have SEN. However, applications will be considered from candidates without such experience who demonstrate an eagerness to rapidly develop new skills in this area.
These posts may be of particular interest to candidates who have an interest in a career in Education or associated careers with Children.

Orchard Hill College (the College) and Orchard Hill College Academy Trust (the Trust) together form Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust (OHC&AT), a family of specialist education providers for pupils and students from nursery to further education. The College has 7 centres and the Trust is now home to 14 special schools across London, Surrey and Sussex.
The Link Secondary School is a vibrant, diverse, Special School for children with a primary need of Speech, Language and Communication or with a diagnosis on the Autistic Spectrum. Many of our students have associated learning difficulties including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and often present with high levels of anxiety.
