Job Details

The roles will involve supporting as a Teaching Assistant in around 20 lessons each week, taking responsibility for leading at least 6 lessons each week and up to 4 periods a week of management time for carrying out the above responsibilities.

Carew Academy is a ‘Good’ school, with an ‘Outstanding’ judgement for Behaviour and Safety, for pupils between the ages of 7 and 18 who have moderate learning difficulties or a diagnosis of ASD. In the short time I have been at Carew I can tell you it is a truly special place. With 240 students, we have a unique family ethos and staff are able to get to know every child as an individual, our parents are also incredibly supportive of the school.

To support staff wellbeing we have ‘Wellbeing Wednesdays’ – last term staff enjoyed a chocolate fuelled Easter Egg Hunt. At the end of this term we have our Summer BBQ.
