Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust (OHC&AT) is a family of specialist education providers for pupils and students from nursery through to further education across London, Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire. The uniqueness of OHC&AT is that it is fully representative of all designations of special education needs and disabilities. Across the whole organisation there are a range of experts and practitioners who advocate for children and young people with special education needs and disabilities to ensure they receive the best possible opportunities to achieve their full potential.
Addington Valley Academy will be a co-educational Special School with 150 places for children and young people aged 2-19 who have autism and social communication, cognitive, sensory and social, emotional, and behavioural needs in the Croydon region. We will work closely with the London Borough of Croydon, the National Autistic Society Resource Centre (Croydon), Parents in Partnership and parents themselves to ensure our provision is of the highest quality and reflects local needs. We are in the pre-opening stage and will open in September 2020 with an initial cohort of 22 ASD year 7 pupils.
