Job Details

Firstly, we are looking for a specialist to support students who are on the Autism Spectrum.  The successful individual will employ a wide range of strategies to support our students in self-regulation to ensure they can engage in meaningful learning.  This will include both 1:1 work with students and collaborating with class teams to develop effective strategies to support learners in the classroom.

Secondly, we are looking for someone to co-ordinate our off-site provision.  The successful individual will be able to quickly develop strong partnerships with our external providers and will work closely with them to monitor the quality of education our students are receiving when they are away from school.  This will include keeping logs of students’ attendance and progress, and liaising with parents and carers in collaboration with our Family Lead.  The successful candidate will also work on transition for our Year 11 and 13 leavers.

The roles will be varied and will include supporting in lessons, running group and individual programmes to support students in developing their social skills, dealing with students when they are frustrated or upset and providing support and advice to colleagues on how to work with students effectively.
