Dysart School were absolutely thrilled to pick up a brand-new minibus thanks to the generosity of Variety Golf and Friends of Dysart School. At a special ceremony held at Beaconsfield Golf Club, patrons of the Variety Golf charity applauded as Principal Leigh Edser accepted the keys to the new minibus.

Post-16 students told the golfers how much they were looking forward to going in the new minibus for their residential trip in June.

Jamie Little, Director of Golf, thanked Century Financial Planning for their generous donation and all the supporters of the Variety Golf charity who had helped fund this minibus.

Alan Bird from Century Financial Planning said, “It’s an absolute pleasure to hand over these keys.”

Leigh (Principal), thanked everyone for their generosity, “It’s an amazing donation that is really going to support and change the lives for our students. Our main aim in life is to give our students the best quality of life possible and enable them to get out in their communities and learn valuable skills to take them into adulthood. This minibus is going to go a really long way to achieving that. Thank you very much.”

The school were also delighted to receive an additional donation of three boxes of books from the charity ABC Book Club which will make a welcome addition to the school library and reading resources.
