Arbour Vale School Consultation
Arbour Vale School (AVS) is undertaking a consultation to request a change to the funding agreement arrangements that it holds with the Department for Education (DfE). The school is consulting on the proposal to make permanent an incremental increase within the school’s planned places from 304 to 335 and to remove the residential provision from the funding agreement.
The consultation to the proposal will run from Wednesday 21st September to Wednesday 19th October 2022. Families, staff and all stakeholders are being encouraged to give their feedback and complete the survey using the link below.
There will be Public Meetings at the school (Farnham Road, Slough, Berkshire, SL2 3AE) on Wednesday 5th October from 10-11am and from 1.15-2.15pm. These drop in sessions will provide an opportunity to ask questions about the proposals and leave any feedback.
This information has been sent to parents, carers, staff, governors and other stakeholders with a link to the online survey and a paper version of the survey. Comments can also be emailed to office@arbourvaleschool.org
The consultation will close on Wednesday 19th October and all responses whether electronic or paper should be returned to the school by this date.
Background
Over the last few years, AVS has met the demand of additional children across existing year groups. As a result of this incremental increase, AVS now offers places to an additional 31 children above its current funding agreement of 304 places. As this admission number is over 20 places higher than our current funding agreement, we need to formally apply to the DfE to increase the planned number of places in the funding agreement.
Our funding agreement also currently includes a residential provision which is no longer offered and we need to formally apply to have this removed as well.
