About Arbour Vale School

Arbour Vale School is a special school in Slough for learners aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of educational needs. With 455 pupils on roll, it is one of the largest special schools in the country and meets the needs of children and young people with moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties with profound and multiple needs as well pupils with autism.

The school is purpose built with specialist facilities including a dedicated nursery and post-16 base, soft-play area, hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory room, a newly refurbished library, well-equipped IT suite, dedicated music room and large sports hall.

In addition to the main site, the Arbour Vale Satellite Centre opened in April 2026 on a site that has been extensively refurbished to meet the needs of the cohort, adjacent to the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Primary School on Derwent Road in Slough. This site offers up to 80 additional Early Years/Primary places in a phased build up over 2-3 years.
